Gujarat Giants has appointed Pravin Tambe as the bowling coach, ahead of the 2025 season of the Women’s Premier League.
The team also announced the appointment of Daniel Marsh as its new batting coach while Michael Klinger, who joined the team last season, will continue to be the head coach.
Tambe came into the limelight when he made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut at the age of 41 with Rajasthan Royals. He also brings substantial coaching experience. Previously, he has worked with IPL teams such as Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants.
Marsh served as head coach of the Tasmania Men’s team from 2013 to 2017 and was appointed assistant coach of the Australian Women’s Team in 2022.

Klinger’s previous stints include being head coach of the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League and the Sydney Thunder in the Women’s Big Bash League. Earlier this year, he was announced as head coach of the Manchester Originals Women’s team in The Hundred.
“We laid solid groundwork last season, and I’m excited to build on that with the talented players we have retained in the squad. Our focus remains on fostering a winning mindset and pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve as a team. It is incredibly rewarding to see so many of our Gujarat Giants players representing India since last WPL season. This invaluable high-level experience will undoubtedly strengthen our squad for the upcoming season,” said Klinger.
The Giants have finished last amongst the five teams in both 2023 and 2024 seasons.
The Player Auction for the 2025 season is set to be held in Bengaluru on December 15.
