After a long wait, MindsEye is finally set to launch soon, and it’s making waves. Created by Build A Rocket Boy, a studio founded by a former Rockstar Games developer, this game is already grabbing attention. With fans still waiting for GTA 6, this game feels like the next big open-world action game.

MindsEye’s official release date is June 10, 2025, and it’s coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. But with the recent release of the Nintendo Switch 2, players are wondering if the game will be available on the Switch or the Switch 2. The simple answer is no, MindsEye will not be available on either of the Nintendo handheld consoles.

What makes MindsEye stand out?

MindsEye is built using cutting-edge technology, delivering lifelike visuals that push the limits of realism. Its massive open world is packed with dynamic weather systems and intelligent AI, making every encounter feel fresh and reactive. Potential reasons why MindsEye isn’t releasing for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

The original Switch simply isn’t powerful enough to run a game like MindsEye, which demands ray tracing, advanced AI, and fast SSD performance.

The Switch 2 is a big upgrade. It features a custom Nvidia chip, supports 4K resolution when docked, 1080p in handheld mode, HDR lighting, and frame rates up to 120Hz. That’s a major leap and finally puts Nintendo hardware closer to modern standards. However, there haven’t been any official announcements regarding MindsEye’s release on the Switch 2.

While the console might be technically capable of running a toned-down or cloud version, the developers haven’t confirmed any plans. For now, the game is exclusive to higher-end systems.

MindsEye is not launching on Switch or Switch 2, and there’s no confirmation of future support yet. With the Switch 2’s upgraded hardware, a port could happen someday, but right now, Nintendo players will have to wait.
