Arsenal are reportedly pushing hard to sign Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams this summer.
The Gunners are long-term admirers of the Spain international and they were initially keen on landing his signature last summer.
Williams decided to stay put with his boyhood club, but there is a possibility that he could pursue a bigger challenge this time.
According to AS, Arsenal are bidding hard for his services and they are ready to pay the reported £54 million release clause too.
On top of this, they are prepared to hand him £147,000 per week after tax.
Despite this, the Gunners are not leading the race as Williams remains determined to secure a dream transfer to Barcelona.
Williams is reportedly willing to accept a paycut to join his dream club and will only consider an alternative if they don’t sign him.
Hence, Arsenal need to play the waiting game for the winger. There is a possibility that they could miss out on him again.
