Hangman Page vs. Christopher Daniels
Daddy Magic joined Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness on commentary.Hangman Page made his way to the ring first followed by Christopher Daniels in his ROH “Fallen Angel” attire. After exchanging words, Hangman slapped his opponent in the face. They exchanged blows and Hangman sent CD to the mat. Daniels got in some offense, but Hangman sent him to the outside.
Page joined him outside and took him down again before putting him in the room. While distracted, Angels did a running slide through the ropes. Hangman sent CD in to the barricade and hit him in the head with the end of a chair, which opened him up.
With Daniels back in the ring, Hangman drove barbed wire into his forehead. He whipped him in the back before putting it across his mouth. As soon as CD got to his feet, Page took him down with a big boot and then a discus lariat with barbed wire.
Following the break, a table had been set up next to the ring. The men battled on the apron, but a lariat by CD sent Hangman into the ring. Page promptly put CD headfirst into a chair that was between the ropes. CD was on the table when Page did a double stomp and sent him through the table. Page then pulled out another table covered in barbed wire and set it up in the ring.
Page pulled Daniels up top and attempted a back body drop, but CD fought out. Daniels with a uranage through the table. Page went to the corner and CD took him down with a Fisherman’s suplex and two slams. Page sent him over the ropes with a lariat. The men fought on the ramp. Page reversed Angel Wings and did a back body drop over the ropes into the ring. Page hit him with the barbed wire and set up for the Buckshot Lariat when Daniels reversed into a flatliner and put him in the Koji clutch with the barbed wire still wrapped around Page’s arm.
Page grinded the barbed wire into CD’s forehead. Page picked him up, but CD grabbed the ropes and reversed into Angel Wings. Daniels nailed the Best Moonsault Ever and then placed a piece of broken table over Page and hit another one. Bryce Remsburg began counting Page out, but with a burst of adrenaline, Page got to his feet and shocked Daniels. CD went for the chair, but Hangman stepped on it and hit a tombstone on said chair.
Daniels pulled himself to his knees and Page hit him with a Deadeye on the chair. Page hit him in the back of the neck with a Buckshot Lariat. Page stood over Daniels’ body while Remsburg counted to ten, effectively ending Daniels’ in-ring career.
Winner: Hangman Page
After the match, Page came back to the ring to finish him with an Angel Wings as McGuinness yelled “he’s an Angel of Death!” Several referees and medical personnel attended to Daniels.
It’s Toni Time
Schiavone is joined in the ring by the “rookie”, Toni Storm. Storm said it’s “surreal” and “my dreams are coming true” to wrestle in Brisbane, Australia. It’s the venue where Storm saw her first match. She said “Mariah May is the best in the business today”, but hasn’t met her yet. She wants to finally meet her face-to-face at Daily’s Place. Schiavone tried to talk some sense into her, but she made him say, “it’s Toni(y) Time!”
In a video that aired, MVP said that Bobby Lashley has never been tag team champion before and Shelton Benjamin has been many times. He said that after beating Private Party, they makes them Number One contenders. They challenged them to a title match next week on “Dynamite”.
