Arsenal have made a formal bid worth €65 million plus €15m in add-ons to sign Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres this summer.
The Sweden international had a sensational campaign with Sporting, scoring 54 goals and providing 13 assists from 52 appearances.
He has been angling for a move to the Emirates in recent weeks, and the Gunners are now close to securing a transfer agreement.
Gyokeres has already agreed on personal terms and Arsenal now need to convince Sporting to accept a suitable package for his exit.
They have offered €65m plus €15m in add-ons for the 27-year-old, but Sporting want €70m plus €10m in bonuses for the marksman.
Gyokeres is determined to secure a dream move to the Gunners, and he is prepared to give up €2m in loyalty bonus to facilitate the deal.
It appears only a matter of time before Gyokeres makes the switch. He should be a big upgrade on Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus upfront.
