Jackson is slated to be the Gophers’ top receiver for a second year in a row. In 2022, the wideout posted 37 catches for 557 yards and five touchdowns, leading Minnesota in both yards and receiving touchdowns. He also had the longest receiving play of the year for the Gophers, a catch-and-run of 66 yards. Minnesota is breaking in a new starting quarterback in Athan Kaliakmanis, who is largely an unknown outside of one very solid performance against Wisconsin. It remains to be seen how dangerous the Gophers’ passing attack will be in 2023, but Jackson is in line to be the main beneficiary. Minnesota likes to lean on their ground game, and while longtime dynamic runner Mohammed Ibrahim has moved on, they have a transfer that appears ready to keep the rushing attack respectable in Sean Tyler. Jackson’s value will undoubtedly be capped by a run-heavy offense and a still-developing passing game, but he still figures to be the top wide receiver once again.
