Smriti Mandhana is set to play a milestone 150th T20I for India Women during the second match against England Women at the County Ground in Bristol on Tuesday.
She becomes the second Indian woman to achieve this feat — only skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has played more T20Is for the Women in Blue, 178.
The left-handed opener, in 149 T20Is so far, has amassed 3873 runs, including 30 fifties and one century, which she achieved in the opener of the ongoing five-match series against England.

The 28-year-old made her debut in 2013 during a game against Bangladesh taking place in Vadodara. India’s cap no. 40, she scored 39 off 36 in her first match, which was the beginning of a stellar career in the shortest format.
“It’s a great achievement as a player because when we start playing cricket, we always have a dream to play for the country,” said Harmanpreet in a BCCI video, who has witnessed Smriti’s rise over the years.
“The way she hits the ball, I think it is something totally different from others. She has a lot of time when she’s batting and has made it look very easy,” the captain said of her deputy.
