ICC Women’s Rankings: Smriti Mandhana moves to top 3 in both ODI and T20I standings

Indian vice-captain Smriti Mandhana jumped three places to take the second spot in the latest ICC Women’s ODI Rankings while she went up one place to third in the T20I standings.

Her movement up the standings comes after remarkable displays with the bat against Australia and West Indies.

Smriti is fresh off a century against Australia in the final ODI in Perth and backed it up with a classy 54 against West Indies in the first fixture of the ongoing three-match T20I series.

Smriti is the only Indian representation in the ODI top 10 with skipper Harmanpreet Kaur dropping down to 13th.

In the T20I batting rankings, Harmanpreet is placed 11th and Shafali 13th. Jemimah Rodrigues has jumped six places to 15th.

Among the bowlers, Deepti Sharma has dropped down two spots to fifth in ODIs. Renuka Singh Thakur is up two places to 27th. The biggest jump is for Arundhati Reddy whose exploits in the Perth ODI vs Australia helped her leapfrog 48 spots to 51st.

In the T20I standings, Deepti has gained two spots to stand second behind England’s Sophie Ecclestone. Renuka dropped down a spot to hold fifth. The only other Indian in the top 20 is Radha Yadav, placed 19th.
