A prolific India was too good for England as it beat visitors by 150 runs in the fifth and final T20I at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, marking its second biggest win in this format.
India’s biggest win by the margin of runs came against New Zealand when the Men in Blue beat the Kiwis by 168 runs in 2023.
Asked to bat, India registered 247 for nine in 20 overs courtesy of a firing century by Abhishek Sharma who scored a 54-ball 135.
Chasing 248, England was off to a good start but things escalated quickly with a middle-order collapse as the visitors were sent packing for just 97 in 10.3 overs.
