India wins Women’s ODI Tri-Series, beats Sri Lanka by 97 runs in final


The Indian women’s cricket team beat Sri Lanka by 97 runs to clinch the ODI Tri-Series in the final at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday.

Amanjot Kaur and Sneh Rana were pick of the bowlers, taking seven wickets of the opposition batting line-up between them.

Earlier, India vice-captain Smriti Mandhana scored her 11th century in the format to help her side post a mammoth target of 343 runs. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, Harleen Deol, and Jemimah Rodrigues fell short of half-centuries in their knocks.
