India grouped with top seed for U-14 Asia-Oceania WJT

The Indian boys have been clubbed with top seed Korea, seventh seed Australia and Pakistan in group-A in the Asian-Oceania World Junior Tennis under-14 championship to be played in Kuching, Malaysia, from Wednesday.

The top two teams from each of the four groups will qualify for the knock-out stage.

The groupings:

Group-A: Korea, India, Pakistan, Australia.

Group-B: Kazakhstan, Iran, Indonesia, Japan.

Group-C: Thailand, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan.

Group-D: Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, China.

Monte-Carlo Masters: Bopanna-Shelton pair enters second round

Rohan Bopanna in partnership with Ben Shelton of USA beat Francisco Cerundolo and Alejandro Tabilo 6-3, 7-5 in the doubles first round of the €6,128,940 ATP tennis tournament inn Monte Carlo, Monaco.

In the pre-quarterfinals, Bopanna and Shelton will challenge the third seeds Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori of Italy.
