Kranti Goud receives first India call-up as Kashvee Gautam ruled out of Women’s ODI tri-series

Pacer Kranti Goud has received her maiden India call-up, replacing the injured Kashvee Gautam in the ongoing women’s ODI tri-series in Sri Lanka.

Kashvee, who made her ODI debut in the opening match of the series, sustained an injury during India’s three-wicket defeat to Sri Lanka on Sunday. The Gujarat Giants pacer, who took 11 wickets in the 2025 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL), had her first international tournament cut short after walking off the field midway through her spell, having bowled just five overs.

Meanwhile, Goud – a right-arm seamer – was drafted into the national squad late on May 5. The Madhya Pradesh cricketer featured in eight matches for UP Warriorz in the WPL, picking up six wickets.

She earned her place in the WPL following a standout performance in the Senior Women’s ODI Trophy, where she claimed 15 wickets, including a four-wicket haul in the final against Bengal, helping Madhya Pradesh lift its maiden title.
