Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha ahead of a potential summer transfer, according to TBR Football.
The Mancunian giants are expected to make several signings in the summer and a playmaker is one of the priorities for manager Ruben Amorim.
The Portuguese tactician has identified Cunha as his prime target and the Red Devils have now received a big boost in purchasing him from Wolves.
Cunha has practically reached an agreement on personal terms and United now need to sort out terms regarding his transfer from Vitor Pereira‘s side.
There is a release clause worth £63m in Cunha’s contract, but United are optimistic of negotiating a long-term payment plan with Wolves.
Wolves are likely to accept such a proposal for Cunha, who has netted 17 goals and provided six assists from 32 appearances this campaign.
Cunha has been tight-lipped regarding his future but it is an open secret that he would like to move to a bigger club to win regular trophies.
