Manchester United are leading Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Bayern Munich attacker Mathys Tel, according to Paul O Keefe.
The Frenchman has made the decision to leave Bayern before the transfer deadline and talks are ongoing with interested Premier League clubs.
Chelsea were initially keen on landing his signature, but it has since emerged that Tel does not fancy joining the west London giants this winter.
Arsenal and Spurs have also made contact with the player’s entourage, but O Keefe claims that United are the front-runners to land his services.
The player has the preference to move to Old Trafford and it will be interesting to see whether United can strike a suitable agreement.
The Red Devils can’t afford more than a loan deal for the versatile forward, but Bayern may want at least an option to buy as part of the move.
Tel’s arrival could pave the way for Marcus Rashford‘s loan exit.
