Manchester United are exploring the possibility of signing another Wolverhampton Wanderers star after Matheus Cunha, according to Football Transfers.
The Red Devils have reached a complete agreement to land Cunha from Wolves. He will undergo his medical before signing a five-year contract with the club.
It is now reported that United are interested in landing Nelson Semedo whose contract with Wolves expires on June 30. He has been earmarked as a potential right wing-back option.
United were initially keen on making a marquee signing for the position, but their plans have changed after their failure to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Semedo, 31, has been a key player for Wolves over the past couple of seasons. He has been a consistent performer and would add value and experience to the United squad.
A deal may not be straightforward. Benfica are also interested in a reunion with their former player. Semedo recently admitted that he could be tempted to return to the Portuguese giants.
