The Indian women’s cricket team faces its Sri Lankan counterpart to kick-off the Tri-Nation ODI series in Sri Lanka on Sunday at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The Women in Blue return to 50-over action after clinching a dominant 3-0 home series win over Ireland in January, while Sri Lanka is coming off a 1-1 tied series against New Zealand last month.
The first time the two nations met in a women’s One-Day International was back in 2000 in December which saw India beat Sri Lanka by a massive margin of 141 runs.
