Reining Roland Garros and Wimbledon champion Alcaraz, who played for Spain in the Davis Cup Final 8 and in the Olympics, is intent on going deep at the Australian Open, which concludes on January 26th.

Spain has not lost to Switzerland in Davis Cup since 1946.

The winner of the Spain vs. Switzerland qualifier will face either Serbia or Denmark.
