As the 2025 edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) heads to Lucknow for the third leg of the tournament, two-time finalist Delhi Capitals became the first side to book a playoffs spot in this edition.
The Meg Lanning-led side has won five out of its seven matches so far, racking up 10 points in the process. It also beat second-placed Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on consecutive nights to solidify its position at the top.
On the other hand, RCB had a dismal run in its backyard after losing all of its four matches at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during the Bengaluru leg, alumping to fourth,
UP Warriorz is in third place and has managed to script a comeback with two wins. Gujarat Giants, which will be playing the opening match in Lucknow against home side, languishing at the bottom.
